Ivana Freitas

Assistant Director of Global Programs

Biography

Ivana is responsible for supporting Brown’s existing global programs and contributing to strategic planning to expand the University’s international programming. She oversees the day-to-day management of institutional relationships related to Brown-administered CASA global centers which includes marketing and recruitment, communications strategies, program development, enrollment management, and assessment and evaluation. 

Joining Brown in 2018, Ivana began working in the Office of International Programs (OIP) as a Study Abroad Program Manager, advising students and liaising with overseas staff. Prior to joining Brown, Ivana worked at EUSA University Center in Seville, Spain serving as Project and Outreach Coordinator, and at Harvard University, where she cultivated relationships with public schools in Boston and Cambridge. Ivana also served as an onsite group coordinator to faculty-led summer programs in Brazil and Portugal.

Ivana holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Northeastern University and a master’s degree in International Higher Education and Intercultural Relations from Lesley University. She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
