These programs are focused on immersive experiences that allow students to pursue their academic interests while learning from faculty and students at host universities and study centers. Each center is supported by on-site staff, who provide student support, advising, and organize cultural and experiential activities for students on-site.

Brown Programs
The Brown in France Paris program offers direct enrollment at the University of Paris for upper-level students of French in a broad range of disciplines.
Our program is based at the Brown in Italy office in Bologna, near our partner institution, the University of Bologna (UniBo), the oldest in Europe, with a proud history of dynamic, well-respected scholars like Dante, Petrarch, Erasmus, and Copernicus.
Consortium for Advanced Studies Abroad
As a member of the Consortium for Advanced Studies Abroad (CASA), Brown oversees the administration of the CASA centers in Barcelona, Granada, Havana and works closely with partners in Dublin and Melbourne as well.
The objective of the CASA-Barcelona program is for students to achieve maximum immersion in society and in the local reality. It is designed for students in all disciplines with advanced Spanish and/or Catalan skills. Students are immersed in the local university environment and take most of their courses at one or more of the program's partner universities.
The CASA-Dublin program provides a unique opportunity for full immersion into Irish culture, by studying and living alongside Irish students at Trinity College Dublin. A world-renowned Irish university founded in 1592, Trinity is recognized for its academic excellence, transformative student experience, world-class research, and its many famous alumni.
CASA-Havana, the University of Havana and Casa de Las Américas have worked together to develop a program of study that will challenge students to achieve a critical understanding of the key issues facing Cuba today, and enable them to interact with some of the country’s leading academic experts in the social sciences, arts and the humanities.
The CASA-Granada program offers the opportunity for students at all levels of Spanish language proficiency to expand their horizons through a combination of rigorous academic studies, traditional immersion programming, and innovative experiential activities. Based at the University of Granada, one of Europe's oldest universities, the program offers four different academic tracks.
The CASA-Melbourne program provides undergraduate students a unique opportunity for immersion into Australian culture. The University is home to students from over 130 countries and diversity and inclusiveness are attributes that enrich our broad community. CASA students will be studying, learning from and living alongside students from all backgrounds and cultures.
