June Spencer
Biography
June is responsible for serving as the first point of contact for international students and scholars seeking Global Brown resources, staff and University support and oversees annual international income tax return preparation support. June co-manages the International Visitors Program and coordinates the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship, a prestigious fellowship with the goal of increasing the number of students from historically underrepresented groups who pursue careers in the professoriate.
Joining Brown in 2008, June worked in the Office of Student Support Services for 9 years managing office systems, concussion protocols support and communications and the medical leave of absence process. June worked at the Samaritans of RI as the Special Projects Manager with a focus on community outreach education, program management and donor relations.
June attended Rhode Island College, the China Institute (NY), and Cambridge Language School (Singapore) to study Mandarin Chinese.
